Database Setup

Currently, Sixth Sense is only compatable with PokerTracker. We will include a wider range of database support in future builds.

POKERTRACKER DATABASE NAME
File>>Maintain Database Names…
The DB File/DB Name/DSN column is the one that contains the database names you will need to configure into Sixth Sense. Most players have only 1 database, but if you have more than 1, you will most likely need to refer to this information during set-up.

In Sixth Sense Right-Click the toolbar of Sixth Sense, and “Select PokerTracker Database”

ACCESS (DEFAULT) DATABASE SETUP
1) Select Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers from the Provider tab.
2) Select your Data Source Name (that we found in pokertracker earlier) from the dropdown menu in the Connection tab.
3) Click Test Connection to make sure your database connection works.
4) Click OK.

SQL DATABASE SETUP
1) Select PostgreSQL OLE DB Provider from the Provider tab.
2) Select the Connection tab.
i) Standard Data Source is localhost. Do not change this unless you know what you’re doing.
ii) For Location, enter the DB name you found earlier in PokerTracker. CASE SENSITIVE!!
iii) Enter your PostgreSQL user name and passwords (The ones you set up when you were creating your PT SQL database)
3) Click Test Connection to make sure your database connection works.
4) Click OK.

ADDITIONAL DATABASES
These databases are IN ADDITION to the one you have already selected as your default. You do not need to re-include your original DB.
1) Right-Click the Sixth Sense toolbar, and select Configure Multiple Databases…
2) Select Add
3) Follow the above instructions for Access or SQL database details.
