Table Opener

Friday, December 1st, 2006

The table opening feature was originally added just to be a nice convenience, but it will quickly be developing into a more advanced portion of the Sixth Sense program.

ONLY WORKS WITH PARTY POKER UNTIL FURTHER UPGRADED

Currently, there are only 3 options available for the Opener. Right click > Options > Advanced Options… or Ctrl+O to access the Table Opener Options.

“Open Only” – Finds and opens selected table.
“Open and Join” – Finds the table, joins the waitlist, and opens the table for you.
“Join or Open” – Joins the waitlist if the table is full. Opens the table if a seat is available.

There are sometimes conflicts with the PartyPoker lobby, and sometimes there are conflicts with 3rd party programs such as AutoResizer. For best results, disable any “Join Waitlist” functions on your 3rd party software while you are running Sixth Sense.

Game Filter

Friday, December 1st, 2006

The game filter is very simple and straightforward. Just select the site, game level, and game type that you wish to scan and Save+Exit.
But there are a few tips that we would like to encourage users to practice.

1) The more narrow your search, the faster it will move.
If you only want to play 3/6NL 6max games, then narrow your game filters to that exactly. The more tables you include, the more you have to download, score, and search through.

2) Avoid selecting “All Tables”
This bogs down our server, slows down your computer, and slows down your table search.

Custom Scoring

Friday, December 1st, 2006

For those of you who want to score players on your own terms – now you can!

Just right-click the Sixth Sense toolbar, and select “Custom Scoring…”. Or hit Ctrl+S for short. The following window will pop up.

1) Each category is the type of player you want to score. Their score is whatever you designate to those kinds of players. The higher the score, the bigger the fish.

2) The rules for each category determine which players fall into this category.

3) Check this box to apply your custom scoring rules. This will cut out the Sixth Sense Fish score, and use your own in its place.

4) Check the Converge Scores checkbox if you want players scores to be weighted by the # of hands you have on them.

5) Export your rules to a file, or import rules that you have already saved.

YOUR FIRST CATEGORY (WALKTHROUGH)
1) Click on the Add Category Button, and fill in the name you want to give it. For this example, we will name it “Fish”.

2) Fill in the score you want to give this category. The higher the score, the bigger the fish.

3) Each field in the Category Rules section is a Stat that will be pulled from your database when scoring players. Adjust the rules so that the players who fall under this category will be worth the score you have assigned – in this case, 7. In this example, I used some very generic statistic tendencies of weak players. High vpip, low aggression, and high % showdown. Adjust your rules however you see fit.

UNLIMITED CATEGORIES
Add and edit as many rules as you want. Close this window and refresh the table list to apply your new scores to all of the players in your database!

Database Setup

Friday, December 1st, 2006

Currently, Sixth Sense is only compatable with PokerTracker. We will include a wider range of database support in future builds.

POKERTRACKER DATABASE NAME
File>>Maintain Database Names…
The DB File/DB Name/DSN column is the one that contains the database names you will need to configure into Sixth Sense. Most players have only 1 database, but if you have more than 1, you will most likely need to refer to this information during set-up.

In Sixth Sense Right-Click the toolbar of Sixth Sense, and “Select PokerTracker Database”

ACCESS (DEFAULT) DATABASE SETUP
1) Select Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers from the Provider tab.
2) Select your Data Source Name (that we found in pokertracker earlier) from the dropdown menu in the Connection tab.
3) Click Test Connection to make sure your database connection works.
4) Click OK.

SQL DATABASE SETUP
1) Select PostgreSQL OLE DB Provider from the Provider tab.
2) Select the Connection tab.
i) Standard Data Source is localhost. Do not change this unless you know what you’re doing.
ii) For Location, enter the DB name you found earlier in PokerTracker. CASE SENSITIVE!!
iii) Enter your PostgreSQL user name and passwords (The ones you set up when you were creating your PT SQL database)
3) Click Test Connection to make sure your database connection works.
4) Click OK.

ADDITIONAL DATABASES
These databases are IN ADDITION to the one you have already selected as your default. You do not need to re-include your original DB.
1) Right-Click the Sixth Sense toolbar, and select Configure Multiple Databases…
2) Select Add
3) Follow the above instructions for Access or SQL database details.

Buddy List

Friday, December 1st, 2006

Firstly, we suggest adding yourself as a buddy with a score of -1000. This will help you to filter out the tables that you are already sitting at.
1) Click “Add Buddy”
2) Type in your player handle into the dialogue
3) Change the score to -1000 (any negative number will work)
After this, it is pretty much self-explainatory. Add players to the buddy list who you want to be able to find later, score them based on how bad you think they are (higher number = worse player), and the lobby will sort the tables by your online/playing buddies.

Installation

Friday, December 1st, 2006

1) Download the installer.

2) Complete the Installation process and run Sixth Sense.

3) If you do not have an account, enter your User Name and E-mail address where we will send your password. If you do not get a password in your email, check your junk email filter. Hotmail especially has a problem with filtering out the confirmation – so you may not want to use an @hotmail.com address.

4) Log In using your User Name and password which was emailed to you.

5) Select the game limits you would like to list.

6) Configure your database information.

7) (Optional) Configure your custom player scoring.

8) Refresh the table list.

9) With your lobby open and navigated to the correct game type, double click on a table name for Sixth Sense to find the table and open it for you!
