Sixth Sense and Postgres 8.2 This was useful so I'm copying it from 2+2: OK, so SS is working with the new Postgres, as long as you keep the port the same? -Ben <hr /></blockquote><font class="post"> Yes. However, you cant install Postgres 8.2 over the old Postgres installation - it wont allow that because of risk of data loss. The procedure to follow is: 1. Install Postgres 8.2 according to instructions. This postgres will typically get port 5433 since the old Postgres has port 5432. 2. Export existing databases from old Postgres using PokerTracker 3. Import databases into Postgres 8.2 again using Pokertracker 4. Uninstall old Postgres. 5. Change the port number of Postgres 8.2 in the postgres.conf file to 5432. If SixthSense could be configured which port number it expects Postgres to be on it would be helpful. For additional info on how to upgrade to Postgres 8.2 see PokerTracker forum. |
