Just wondering: are there updates in the pipeline, or no?

Hey Ben: just hoping for a candid response from you regarding whether or not you're actively working on new updates/features for SS...I think the frustration of users is largely based on unfulfilled expectations -- e.g. we frequently suggest improvements or new features or new site compatibility, and you say it's on the to-do list, or that you're working on it...yet there hasn't been any new release since Dec. '07.

Honestly, if you were to just come out and say:

"Listen, guys, this is just my 'side job', and I really don't have that much time to continue to improve it; I think it's a good product as is, and worth the monthly subscription price, and I'll continue to reboot the scanners when they go down, or maybe step in and update it if one of the sites completely overhauls their software so that SS doesn't work AT ALL, but I think realistically, this application is more or less in its finished form, and I don't think I'll have the time to continuously work on improving it. Hope you find it a worthwhile piece of software anyway and that you continue to subscribe."

Well, you know what? That would be absolutely FINE. We've all got lives outside of poker, etc -- and at least users would know unequivocally where you stand on this. But I think I speak for a lot of your users (or at least the ones that post here), when I say that it's the feeling of getting our hopes up followed by complete inaction (and non-responsiveness) that really leaves a sour taste in our mouths. So what do you think? As I've said for months, I really do think SS is a great product and worth what I pay for it each month...but I think we're all completely within our rights to ask that you level with us re: what we can expect from you going forward.

RE: Just wondering: are there updates in the pipeline, or no?

Great post, and have to second it.

The situation on the ground is that HM and PT3 have been out for months now. PokerEv is out soon. They are the future of the tracker market, PT2 will be dead very very soon, and I can't keep running a PT2 DB just to keep Sixth Sense (+ I am missing out on lots of new important stats that I can identify fish from).

I've made up my mind and will not extend my subscription any longer. Maybe I'll be back when things change...DRAMATICALLY. All else I can say has been said before already by either me or others.

The way this project has been dealt with lately (the last year or so) is absolutely beyound me...

Come on Ben at least have the grace to answer the posts from long time customers.

Or respond to email, the method I tried to use to be discreet.

Since that didn't work, maybe a public calling out will.

I asked you to cancel my subscription and contact me as to refunding, not future-billing, etc..
Of course, no reply of any kind for a week.

I should be trained by now, having been a gold member since day 1 with you. At least there are some constants in life.

If you would be so kind as to acknowledge me, either by email or by responding here, that would be appreciated.

Anyway, best of luck.

I hear you, and have read this thread.

I can't really promise that I'll have any new feature out soon. I do want to add PokerStars server-side scanning and PT3/HM support.

I'm sorry those features have been so far in coming. If I had some easy solution I would certainly do it.

It is the same old same old. Now you talking about server side Stars scanning, when HM/PT3 support has to be your no.1 priority.

I understand that SS is now a side project for you, but I just don't understand how adding in PT3 support should take too long. Surely it is just a matter of changing the SQL queries from the PT2 to the PT3 ones? All the documentation is extremely clearly laid out on the PT3 (I don't know about HM, but knowing Roy I'm sure he would tell you about the DB schema), such that I have managed to write queries for a whole range of things in a just a few minutes.

Without trying to be too rude, I think you are at a point really where it is put up or shut up. Every serious player is now using HM or PT3, and most casual players are switching to. I think you have to give youself (and us long time customers) a deadline by which PT3 and HM support will be delivered or give up on Sixth Sense. If you can't do it yourself, you are going to have to pay somebody, and if you do make enough out of SS then at least have the decency to come forward, be honest and say sorry guys I can't do what you are asking (either because of knowledge or time).

I just don't think it can continue to drag on indefinitely, it is already months since both have been released and SpadeEye got support pretty much from Day 1. TableTracker is in PT3. I understand HM is getting a similar system. TableShark etc etc.

I have been really patience about this, and continued to post every month or so just to try and get some sort of update. But there is nothing coming forward, no info, no ETA, no responses to emails and forum posts for days on end. You can't run a business like this.
